FWSCCA Community Involvement

Each year the Fort Wayne Region SCCA hosts an annual event benefiting a charity from the Fort Wayne area. Here are a few of our past beneficiaries.

Kate's Kart
Through the gifting of new books, Kate's Kart strives to provide a comforting diversion to hospitalized children and their families, and to foster a love of books, and ultimately literacy, by encouraging children to read and parents to read to their children.
Junior Achievement
At Junior Achievement we believe in "possible." Each day, we work to help young people discover what’s possible in their lives. We do this by helping them connect what they learn in school with life outside the classroom. We let them know it’s possible to invest in their future, to gain a better understanding of how the world works, and to pursue their dreams. We show them that it’s possible for tomorrow to be a better day.
Harvest Food Bank
Community Harvest seeks to alleviate hunger through the full use of donated food and other resources.
MDA
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is the #1 voluntary health organization in the United States for people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. For over 70 years, MDA has led the way in accelerating research, advancing care, and advocating for the support of our families. MDA's mission is to empower the people we serve to live longer, more independent lives.
Shepherds House
Shepherd’s House is a long term, residential/transitional housing center for individuals who are alcohol and chemically addicted men, 18 years or older. The facility is centrally located on the northeast side of Fort Wayne. Participants are asked to make a personal commitment to the recovery program. The program offers education and therapy regarding alcoholism and/or chemical dependency and recovery.
